'We have already put it behind us': Mikel Arteta focus on Bolton clash as Arsenal move on from Erling Haaland row

Arteta confidently stated in the pre-match press conference ahead of the Bolton clash, "Our focus is on tomorrow's battle and we are fully prepared to compete once again."

"The team, the desire that they have to compete in any context, to win, to adapt to different circumstances, different competitions, different ways of playing and handle that emotionally and physically, the way we've done it is superb."

The game at the Etihad Stadium saw both sides give their best with Arsenal taking the lead after Haaland had scored the opening goal. However, the referee was in the spotlight for two decisions that influenced the match. Arsenal pushed for an attack while the City skipper was out of position and speaking to referee Michael Oliver. On the other hand, Leandro Trossard was shown a second yellow card for kicking the ball away while he was already on a yellow card.

After City’s equaliser tempers flared as Haaland first threw the ball at Jesus which was not inspected by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) while the Norwegian attempted to shoulder push Thomas Partey after Arsenal restarted the match. He was not done there as he also exchanged words with Arteta after the match was over.

The 2-2 draw between Man City and Arsenal also meant both sides are unbeaten at the start of the Premier League season. Both are expected to give a tough fight for the Premier League title having been on the rise for the last two seasons.
