Late goal from James Wilson secures draw for Jambos in scrappy Edinburgh derby against Hibs

With only a slim goal difference separating the teams at the foot of the table, Gray was eager to secure his maiden victory in the Edinburgh derby as head coach. On the other hand, newly appointed Jambos boss Neil Critchley was aiming to continue his impressive start with three consecutive wins under his belt.

With so much at stake, it was a nervy encounter as Craig Gordon denied Dwight Gayle who also missed chances for the hosts, while Lawrence Shankland should have scored for the visitors.

Mykola Kukharevych (65) prodded the ball into the net minutes after coming on to spark wild celebrations from the home fans.

But, after Nico Triantis had missed a brilliant chance to put the game out of reach, Alan Forrest flicked the ball to Wilson (87) to slam home the equaliser.
