Leeds initially struggled to keep up with the pace in the first half, but they gradually gained momentum thanks to strong performances from Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James. Both players had opportunities to score, but their efforts were thwarted by Max O'Leary in the Robins' goal.
It was the same combination that threatened immediately after the restart too, as James raced down the right-wing before cutting the ball back to his Italian team-mate in the penalty area, only for Zak Vyner to clear the ball off the line.
After showing promise in the early stages of the game, the Robins wavered in the second half and struggled to get out of their own territory with Leeds pushing for an opener.
Despite the dominance in possession for Leeds, which sat at 67 per cent for much of the game, the stoic defensive performance from Liam Manning's side continued to frustrate their opponents who found chances few and far between.
TrendingThe fixture lacked any real quality and eventually petered out into the goalless draw that it deserved given the standard of creativity and finishing on display from both sides.
