5 Indian Players Shine in Practice Match Against AUS PM XI, Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj Disappoint

A pink ball practice match was held between India and Australia Prime Minister's XI on 1 December in New Delhi. However, due to rain, the scheduled two-day test match was shortened to just 46 overs. Despite the limited playtime, Team India emerged victorious with a commanding performance, defeating Australia PM's XI by 6 wickets. The match showcased impressive performances by 5 Indian players, who played a crucial role in securing the win. On the flip side, captain Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj faced a setback as they were unable to make a significant impact in the match.

Harshit Rana bowled brilliantly for India in the practice match and wreaked havoc by taking 4 wickets. Due to his excellent bowling, India bowled out Australia before 46 overs. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul gave India a strong start. Jaiswal scored 45 runs in 59 balls, while KL Rahul retired hurt after scoring 27 runs in 44 balls. Both showed amazing intent. Earlier, the amazing opening pair of Rahul and Jaiswal was seen against Australia in Perth. Both batsmen had a partnership of 201 runs in the second innings.

Shubman Gill also made a great comeback. Gill could not play the first Test match due to injury. But Gill made a comeback through the practice match and retired hurt after scoring 50 runs in 62 balls for Team India. Gill hit 7 fours during this period. Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj’s poor performance:
Australia PM XI scored 240/10 runs in 43.2 overs. Siraj did not impress much during his bowling. Siraj took only 1 wicket by spending 18 runs in 7 overs. After this, he struggled to take wickets. Rohit Sharma also scored 3 runs in 11 balls and returned to the pavilion. India took a lead of 17 runs in the match by scoring 257/5 runs after 46 overs and won the two-day test match by 6 wickets.
